The Monument Cataloguing and Conservation Service (SCCM in its Catalan initials), now the Local Architectural Heritage Service (SPAL in its Catalan initials) was founded on 9 June 1914. In its 104 years plus of history it has worked directly on 336 monuments and buildings with valuable cultural heritage, some beyond the province of Barcelona. The Local Architectural Heritage Service includes a multidisciplinary team of architects, technical architects, restorers, archaeologists, historians, art historians, archivists, graphic designers and photographers who have supported municipalities in conserving and placing value on their architectural heritage since 1914. Their work is based on the use of a pioneering and internationally renowned work method. MORE INFORMATION
