The Network of Natural Parks of Barcelona Provincial Council Barcelona guarantees a territorial and environmental balance to the 103 municipalities in its geographical area, and within its 102,772.5  hectares. It protects natural, agricultural, forestry, cultural and landscape values of each park. And it also promotes public use and environmental education of the cultural and natural heritage as well as the sustainable economic development of the territory. 
The Network of Natural Parks is made up of twelve natural areas managed directly or in consortium by the Barcelona Provincial Council: Castell de Montesquiu Park, Les Guilleries-Savassona Natural Area, El Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve, Sant Miquel del Fai - Cingles de Bertí Natural Area, Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park, El Montnegre i el Corredor Park, Serralada Litoral Park, Serralada de Marina Park, Serra de Collserola Natural Park, El Baix Llobregat Agrarian Park, El Garraf Park, Olèrdola Park, and El Foix Park. 
There are two mobile applications related to them: Parcs Naturals app, where you can find all the information and services offered by the parks. Itineraris Parcs app, the tool to discover the twelve parks with more than 200 signposted itineraries and 680 points of interest.
